The Great White North . . . well almost

Greetings from Winterpeg, or so I thought. I have been looking forward to visiting my family here for the past couple months (ever since I found a great deal with Northwest!) but I was also looking forward to the snow! I know, I know, hard to believe that someone would ever want to come to Winnipeg for it's winter but the thought of not having a white Christmas and no snow for two years has been kind of hard to deal with. However, to the delight of all Winnipegers but one (me!) I arrived for a bit of a warm spell. Almost all the snow is gone!! Just my luck eh?

Other than that things are going well. I'm all done Arabic which is nice. My brain still feels scrambled though - like the anti-drug commercial, you know the one: "This is your brain." (Image of an egg) "This is your brain on drugs." (Cut to the egg being fried in a pan) I am not sure it is a temporary or permanent side effect of learning such a crazy language. We'll see.
