Dearborn: Day 3

Today we started out by going to a local high school called Edsel Ford. We met with some students from the high school and talked to them about their life as an Arab American and the Middle East. The school then provided a great Middle Eastern lunch for us - it was soo good!

In the afternoon we went to the Islamic Centre and met with the Imam there - all in Arabic of course. I am getting really happy with my Arabic. I hope it is not a temporary thing.

Eating lunch. Unfortunately by the time I took this picture most of the students had gone back to class.

As a token of our appreciation we presented with principal and the teacher who coordinated the get together with US State Department pins.

In front of the Islamic Centre (Unfortunately I don't think the scarf colour was very flattering with my skin tone. Oh well)

All the girls!!
