Happy Birthday!

Yet another year gone by! It's funny, looking back I've spent the past couple of birthdays in different places: two years ago was Egypt, last year Utah, this year Arlington, next year Oman! Well, I am now "really old" as my little sister tells me. Great. Nah, I'm just kidding, 24 is a blast!

It was a perfect day largely due to the efforts of my perfect husband. I decided that I didn't want to go back to Arabic class after lunch so I pulled the "it's my birthday" excuse and read a book. :) When Daniel got home he wouldn't let me lift a finger as he meticulously cleaned the apartment. He would continually surprise me throughout the day with flowers and chocolates. We had a lovely dinner at the Olive Garden. Afterwards we came back to have some people over for cake and ice cream. Dan pulled out a decorated cake that he had made just for me. What a guy!!!

The day was complete with phone calls and birthday serenades from friends and loved ones worldwide. I am so lucky and so excited for all the years to come.
