Cute kids

This week my newest cousin, Keifer McCulloch, was born to my Uncle Chris (my mom's brother) and Aunt Tanya. Here's the experience as recounted by my grandma De Ann:

Keifer was delivered by C. section at 9:09 AM Aug 3, 2006. He weighed in at 9 lbs. 7 0zs. and was 20 3/4 inches long. He nursed soon after he was cleaned up and given to Mother Tanya. His two sisters Dakota and Kenzie are as happy as can be that their new baby brother is here safe and sound. Mother was doing fine yesterday and said she had no pain but she was still under the effects of the pain killers and wasn't to sure of how things would be when they were no longer in effect. Baby's blood sugar was very low and was not coming up fast enough to where the Pediatrician thought was healthy so they put him in the nursery on an IV and glucose water. Today his sugars are stabilizing and another 12 hours will likely see him out of the nursery and by that time Tanya will be moving around more easily as well. They are allowed to spend as much time in the nursery as they want. Father was doing fine except for feeling a little angst for the skin pokes to test the blood sugar and the getting the IV in. There were a few lusty yells when all this poking was going on so we know he has a voice. It has a sweet mellow tone to it even in his higher energy points when he was letting it be known he was not a happy camper with the goings on.

On Daniel's side of the family, we received Connor's one year pictures. Seeing these pictures makes me so glad for modern technology. Even though we can't be there to watch our nephew grow up we can follow along through pictures, emails and video sent by Allen and Kris.
