Memorial Day

Memorial Day is similar to the Canadian Remembrance Day (November 11) as it remembers those who have the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom of others. To observe this solemn day we went to the Arlington Cemetary. This is the largest and best known of several national cemetaries in America where America's veterans and their wives can be buried. It is the final resting place of thousands of fallen men and women, presidents such as John F. Kennedy and the tomb of the unknown soldier. It was a special opportunity to be able to go there, especially on that particular day.
