It's been a while since I've posted an update and I've been receiving "subtle" hints to do so. This week went well. I handed in my first draft of my capstone (senior thesis) paper and presented it to my class. It was such a relief to get it done. Now I'm working on editing it.
Daniel's brother, David, came up to Utah this weekend to attend General Conference (twice a year the leaders in LDS chuch speak to all members worldwide) and a mission reunion (he served his mission in Miami, Florida).
Conference was fantastic. We were able to get tickets inside the conference centre - it's huge! It seats 21,000 people. Here are pictures of the inside from our seats and it was not full yet!!

It was neat to see so many people in one room who believe the same things I do. I took a mental picture of not only the visual of the room but also the feeling that was there for when I feel like Dan and I am the only Mormons (as may be the case in Oman).
After conference we drove back to Provo (from Salt Lake), the guys had another meeting to go to which meant girls night for us! Dave brought some friends with him: Kim and Neela. Us girls had a great time complete with too much sugar and giggling. Long story short we girls all got to know each other much better. ;-)
Now that everyone is gone my apartment is quiet again. **sigh** I think 17 year old me would be shocked but I really don't enjoy being on my own and like the chaos friends and family bring. Good news is is that I don't have much time left here in Utah. I have two and a half weeks of school - that's it!!!
Daniel's doing well, chipping away at the Arabic beast. This weekend he went to the district to look at the cheery blossoms. They sound beautiful. Maybe they'll still be there next month so I can see them.
Hmmm. . .I think that is it.

Glad you got to go to conference! It sounds like you had fun. Was that your first time going? The new center is always so overwhelming.
The next time you are dying from the silence and need a little chaos, feel free to call and come over. Eliza would love a new face to show off her animal magnets to and we'd love to see you again.
Hope Dan is doing well out there.
