Nothing new or exciting to report today I just thought an update would be good to let you all know that I'm doing well. I'm half way through the semester. It's funny because it feels like it is going all too fast yet way too slow. My capstone paper is the bane of my existence as I wrestle with myself to just write the stupid thing. With Spanish done my mornings have cleared up some which is nice though.
Work is going well. It's a nice break from school work. The people are great and it is work I am confident with. Despite how happy I am there though I sat down with my boss yesterday and let her know my end date, April 7. It was really hard to do and we were both next to tears. Seems kind of silly I guess, especially when I am moving towards something so exciting, but it is also hard to leave people you care about.
Now that I know my last day of work I'm starting to look ahead to moving day which in the Foreign Service is known as my "pack out". This daunting task is right up there with my paper on my list of things to put off. How relieved I will be come May because, for better or worse, it will all be over.
Oh, come to think of it, there is one thing new with me. I was asked to help out in the nursery at church. The kids are roughly all 2 years old and my job is basically to play with them for 2 hours on Sunday while their parents attend their classes. It is lots of fun though it requires a fair bit of patience and perhaps a new wardrobe (to match the crayon and squashed crackers now embedded in my skirt) ;-)
All in all I'm doing great, relishing these last weeks of a student's life which I hear I will miss and the beautiful mountains which I know I will miss.
'Till next time,
~Katie
