For anyone who knows this family they know that such an outing is to be full of excitement, noise, laughter, noise, fun and well... noise. The Kingsley's are old friends of the Phelps family and as such they generously invited me into their home to make sure I don't eat Sunday dinners alone. They squealed with excitement as I revealed our post assignment, it was just nice for me to not get the same puzzled look and hear "O-where?". Following my news the Kingsley's took up what has become the joke of the week in the Phelps household, turning Oman into Oh-man. However, this creative bunch took the gag one step further when they informed me that it's too bad that I'm going to "oh-man" because "yeah-man" sounds like more fun- "yeah-man" being Yemen, the country next to Oman. The stuff I put up with ;-)
After a wonderful dinner we played games, broke sound barriers and each other's personal space. Though they kept telling each other to keep it down it was just nice for me to out of my silent apartment.
