The list!!! (and a quick update)

Well, Dan left on Friday to start his adventures in DC. :-( His first day of work was on Monday and went really well but the most exciting thing was that we got the list of potential posts! We have been dying to know what was on the list for about a month and a half and were thrilled to finally get our hands on it. It is filled with a lot more "exotic" places than I had been expecting; just trying to figure out where half of the places were was a challenge in and of itself. Our options (there are 69) include the likes of Oman, Brazil, Vietnam, Bagladesh, Mozambique and Poland just to name a few. Since I don't know much about many of these places I've been doing some research and have found a fantastic site. It is http://www.talesmag.com/ and gives lots of really good information about each country and what it's like to live there. From reading other people's entries I've discovered that many places I would have never wanted to go actually sound great! I recommend checking out this website if for no other reason than to expand your view of the world.

Hopefully Dan will write about his escapades in Foreign Service soon and keep all of you posted but in his defense he's crazy busy.

I'm doing well, aside from missing my honey. School has started and I'm already missing sleep. Oh well. My clases will hopefully be less demanding as other semesters as I have only two major classes, calligraphy, model Arab League and Spanish. Hmmm, that still sounds like a lot. Anyway, I'm plugging along with school, work and good friends keeping me from sitting at home.

The house is coming along...slowly. Hopefully the framing will be going in this week but I've been told that for the past few weeks so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
