This week has been a whirlwind! We have some exciting news - we’re buying a house! Well, actually we’re building a house. It may seem like an odd decision for all you who know us and our plans but here’s why we’re doing it. For the past couple months Dan and I have been considering our future: Nuvek (Dan’s employer), Foreign Service, Utah, exotic countries abroad, etc. we’ve decided that there is a possibility that we will put off the FS for a couple to stay at Nuvek- this means that we would need to buy a house. We’ve had this in the back of our minds and then this fantastic opportunity came up so we took it. If we join the FS then we’re thinking of renting it out and if we stay here then we have some place to live. Great!
Details: It’s going to be built in beautiful Heber City, Utah and finished about February. It’s a smaller town up in the mountains which is nice because it’s quiet and pristine but we’re still close to everything big (like 20-30 mins close). Plus the view is fantastic!
Overall we are REALLY excited!!! [Just in case you couldn’t tell ;-)]

Hello, Phelps family. It's fun to hear about friends from friends. Ethan and Heather Bratt said they had you visit the other night. Congrats on building a house. That sounds very exciting. Emma, my wife, and I have been considering doing the same for some time. I work as the Network Admin for a small company in Port Washington, WI.
